1966 Corvette/Ragtop Q: I replaced my front tires and wheels with standard sizes. I noticed the front tires have different clearance in the fender well. The left side is very close and rubs when I turn hard right or left. Are there steps I can take to rule out issues and diagnose the true problem?

1966 Corvette/Ragtop

Q: I replaced my front tires and wheels with standard sizes.  I noticed the front tires have different clearance in the fender well.
The left side is very close and rubs when I turn hard right or left.  The right side is fine.

Are there steps I can take to rule out certain issues and diagnose the true problem?

Thank you!

Hello biurato-- Unless some modifications have been made to the body of your 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, original spec tires will fit. When you talk about standard size tires, do you mean original tire sizes? Make sure. For more information about specs, try www.tirerack.com. Good luck from Bovan.
