I have asked many questions on here about my car so I thought I'd
continue to add on to my problem. The car turns over but doesn't start. I
have spark. I have gas. I have sprayed starter fluid in it and it started up for
a bit then died. I figured there wasn't any fuel getting into it and there is fuel
in the car. I do not want to have to change the fuel pump so I want to try
something else. Could it be a fuse that's blown or a dirty/clogged up fuel
injector? The car is a 2.8L Manuel Transmission

When you squirted starting fluid in and it started and ran for a few seconds is proof of a fuel starvation problem. A single injector plugged will not cause a no-start condition, and no it's not a fuse... unless it is the fuse for fuel pump. Or is this... a 1986 - SPFI with only one injector? Or MPFI - Multi port FI with an injector for each cylinder? I get it that you don't want to replace pump,expense and time consuming.... but it sure sounds like that to me, or filter

I agree with Fordnut, you can check if pump is running by just turning the key on and you should here the pump prime up. Fuel pressure on that one should be 56 to 62 lbs. at the Schrader valve while running. The connectors back at the fuel pump do cause grief if corroded & worn.
