Question type: General

why are 1978 vets worth more than 1976 ,1977 ,1979 ,1980 ,1981s

1 Answer

The prices in 1978 are higher because it was the 25 year of Corvette production and many of the cars offered are 25 Anniversary versions increasing the overvalue of that year (1978). The 1970's corvettes were pretty, but after the chrome bumper left in 1973, they began to be seen as more style than substance. Low horsepower and not great handlers. If you were at a disco in the late 70's you saw tons of corvette's, but not so much at the track. That being said, they certainly are pretty cars and tell of a specific time when big hair, the Bee Gees and Donna Summer reigned.
