Dodge ram shifting issue

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.7 Hemi that
will not start in first gear go into trailer tow mode
or kick down to passing gear my code reader said
that it was a transmission control module could
this be correct or is it some other issue within the
TCM code
