Why does the right turn signal light on my dash stay lit but the turn signal light on the back right of the car don't work.

Asked by Kelly Dec 07, 2015 at 10:01 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn on my passenger side turn signal light, the arrow on the dash stays lit steadily but the turn signal light on the back passenger side of the car are not working. I replaced the bulbs and checked for power. The part store guy told me that there wasn't any power getting to the turn signal light. The other lights and the brake lights are working. Also when I turn on the right blinker the light stays on steady on the front of the car.

I suspect the turn signal sender unit needs to be replaced. It will be located under the dash on the drivers side.
