The ECM in my 1998 K1500 4 wheel drive
pickup needs to be replaced.  It has the
5.7 L Vortec V8 in it.  Do I have to replace
my ECM with another one just like it or can
I replace it with another one that fits but
has a different number and came out of a
different year model?
