Emergency help with chevy Malibu 2002

I have a 2002 Chevy Malibu and it is acting like it's
not getting any air when you press on the gas it
wants to gasp and not want to idle up no one to
rev up and before I could take the little PC
something valve off the top of the motor and it
would idle and once it got warm it stopped idling
too high and then I would have to plug it back in
and then I will and work normally please help
