I believe so. The mechanic said their was a lot of oil in the oil pan before he did the oil change but common for a older car.

I got a oil change today bcz the lifters started ticking as soon as I started my car today.

You can try using an oil additive that cleans the lifters. If that don't help, they might be worn out and need replaced.

Ok. Thanks. You mentioned the name but I can't find that link again. Do you remember what oil it wz. Thanks so much!!

When you change your oil use Lucas Engine Oil Stabilizer is it took care of the ticking my vehicle was doing.

As soon as I started my car it started ticking yesterday. Oil change was done. They used Valvoline 5w/20. What oil treatment should I use? Do I need to get another oil change with 5w/30 oil? They said the oil level was fine.

Also, the ticking stopped after I drove to get oil change. I see some one mentioned Lucas oil treatment there was another kind mentioned at Auto zone. What was thebrand?
