oil drain or transmission drain on 01 Passat GLS 4cylinder 5-speed

my Haynes repair manual doesn't give clear description...is the oil plug  the one in the corner of the aluminum colored pan closest to the ground
or is that the transmission?

Hi gjks! If you can't get there with a repair manual it's probably time to drop a dime to your local VW Service Desk. I'm sure someone there would be willing to point you in the right direction. Good luck!
