where could the gas be leaking from

i have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 v 8 5.2l engine, and it is leaking gas but only
when the engine is running, I have been told it is the fuel pump, what else could
be the problem. It starts immediately upon start up.

Get down and look for it. You will find it is probably a line that goes to the fuel filter or the one that runs from the filter to the engine,

You can see the leaking gasoline... We can't. Follow the wet until you reach the leak. It might just be a loose fitting. If you can't get to it, find someone reliable who can.
