My Chevy 1500 is over heating

Air conditioner was on high while my truck was in park for
an hour when I put it in Drive not even 3 minutes it over
heated. Then I was putting water in the radiator and the
water was black or brown  what should  i do

Let it completely cool off , top it off with water and run it , if it gets warm shut it off and do that again then you're pretty sure it's full enough ,, if the head gasket isn't blown you can test/replace the thermostat and start over , or do a compression test , is the exhaust white ? Is there goop under the oil fill cap ?

You need to flush your cooling system. Without flushing your cooling system routinely, you'll end up with gunk clogging up the system, thermostat sticking, and even the water pump malfunctioning.
