Why would my hood hinge rubbing on my heater motor cover create a spark? The fan only blows when this happens. I know I know the hood hinge is out of adjustment.

I noticed my heater blows intermittenly and when I started looking around it only works when the hood hinge makes contact with the heater fan housing under the hood?
