2017 Chevy Malibu- wont start
2 days ago I ran errands. Go back
to my car and it wouldn't start.
My daughter used jumper cables
and it started. Later that day I
had to leave, it wouldn't start.
Some lights come on and radio
just like it has started. Tonight
we bought a new battery. Haven't
put it in yet. I went to try starting
it again, lights came on and radio
but cant shut sunroof. Why did
It's a dead or dying battery; you might have enough juice to light the lights, but not enough to turn the starter motor. Go to an auto parts store and have any codes read. They may point you to the reason your battery died; probably a dead alternator. You could install the new battery, but it will probably be dead in a short time, as well.
