2013 GTI door will not close

had a '73 Gremlin, that did that,....all I can suggest is find a good "body knocker" to bend the apparatus in the right way~

Those cars fit pretty tight, so your problem might be air compression under heated conditions. Try cracking a window when closing that door; that might be all you need. Otherwise, maybe the weather stripping has been damaged. and needs to be realigned.

You mean the latch won't engage ? Weird that's usually a cold weather thing

We had a VW that did the same thing on both doors and ED is right, we just opened the windows slightly and the doors closed just fine in the summer heat.
