1987 Dodge Raider Manual Transmission/Synchronizers?

Question type: Car Customization

Hi there. Recently found out my 1987 Dodge Raider, 5-speed manual is having synchronizer issues. Been reading on the internet about how to fix it. Easiest/cost efficient way looks like tearing the transmission apart, checking everything, then rebuilding it. (I am not a mechanic, however. And this would be far more involved than I would want.) Another option is to replace the transmission. Does anyone know another transmission that I could swap in it's place? I know a Mitsubishi Montero or a Mighty Max Pickup might work. Anything else? Thank you very much!
