Question type: General

I love driving this wonderful car but why does it use SO much gas?

Might need a tune up. If you have the 289 V-8 you can expect to get 16 mpg. The 200 six cylinder should get 20 mpg. Remember those older cars needed leaded gas to protect the valves so don't forget the fuel additive.

what is the MPG you are getting currently? You have to remember it is a 44 year old car. Do you have the 6cyl or 8 cyl? Cars back then didn't have overdrive transmission and we're set up for fuel economy. I would say you we're getting 10 to 12 MPG, is that correct.

Big block engine in thosee things
