Steering squeak

Asked by Nova_boy7 Dec 20, 2015 at 11:36 PM about the 1975 Chevrolet Nova

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1975 Nova and I know it's common in the old cars to have a screeching squeaky sound when you turn
the wheel a lot but is there anyway I can stop it from doing that.

1 Answer

Screeching may be the power steering pump. A little squeaking may just be steering column bushings which probably could be oiled.
