Did you replace the ECM with the wrong part? Not programmed to your VIN?

I have no idea about your questions. These "mechanics" were recommended by my regular mechanic as the "best computer guys" in the area. Whatever they did, at least the car did stop stalling while driving. BTW, I had a new key made before all of this started happening. Could this have had any impact if the locksmith did something wrong? I did noticed that if I drive with the lights on, turn the locks off and on a couple of times , and turn the windshield wipers off and on, it reduces the poltergeist activity. Should i be concerned that the check engine light stays on? change oil soon comes on , but i know this is not right. If my problems won't cause any further damage, I can just live with it as this is the fishing and hauling vehicle. Not excited about investing another 800.00. Thanks for your help.
