Georgia, I am sorry to hear you are having this concern. Are you saying the car will not start at all for ten minuets? Have you had a chance to have your GM dealership look into this? Please email us at socialmedia@gm.com. Erica Tiffany GM Customer Care

I have the same car and had the same problem. If you notice when it does this a picture of a lock stays on for ten min. When it goes off then you can start the car. There are two things you can do. 1 get an automatic start this will bypass the security on the car. 2 you need to replace your ignition switch which is what I did. If you do one of these two it will solve your problems. My neighbor changed mine for $25 dollars and the part was about $60. If you take it to a shop it will cost much more. When they give you a quote ask them how much they are charging you on the part. They tried to charge me $300 for an oil pan and I got it from geek parts.com for $82. They will still do the work and not charge you for the part. See if it would be a better deal for a remote start instead. I didn't do that but I wish I had. I hope this helps you!!!
