Best camshaft option?

Question type: Car Customization

Hey all,

I have a 1985 ford mustang gt 4bbl 5.0 and im replacing the
timng and heads, but since i'm in there I'm thinking i might
as well switch out the cam.  I'm going with the gt40 heads
f3ze-aa and I'm looking for one that doesn't lower my gas
mileage to bad,  orginally i was looking at the b series, but
saw that would serverly impact my mpg. Can anybody help
me figure out a decent one to pick out, it's also a Manual.

Read the information on each cam. The description will help you decide. If you go with a high lift, high RPM cam you will need to upgrade the entire valve train and check valve to piston clearance. Look online for 5.0 engine builds. Magazines have articles detailing different engine builds which is a good way to get a proven, dyno tested build.
