Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1991 fire bird V6 since I got it running when ever I
accelerate it feels like I'm not moving as fast as I should it
takes a while to go over 30 mph and the rpms are higher
then they should be. So I put in fuel system cleaner in the
vehicle air filter brand new I put some engine treatment for
highmileage engine now the engine just shuts off

Your acceleration problem may be transmission related. It sounds like it is not up-shifting at the right time. More info is needed to troubleshoot the "shuts off" problem. Are you sure you followed the instructions on the additives you used and put them into the correct systems?
