options included posi traction, best way to find out is to get both rear wheels off the ground, with trans in nuetral, and spin driveshaft, if one wheel spins you have an open differential

technically both wheels get power when you are driving, but if it has an open differential, if you are on ice, or something slippery, you will get no power due to one tire sliding, it will feel like there is no power to the other wheel. If you have a limited slip differential, then there will always be power to both wheels.

Easy way to do it. Transmission in neutral, jack up rear end. Spin one tire. If the other tire spins the same way, it's a limited slip differential. If the other tire spins the opposite direction, it's an open differential.

If your car still has the Service Parts Identification (SPID) label in the glove box, look for code G80 (Limited Slip Differential). If you find it it is a positraction car, otherwise, it is an open differential.
