can i use the complete drivetrain from an 85 iroc to swap into my 94 v6 firebird?

Do you have smog inspections to pass? If so don't even think about this swap.

no smog inspections. and i thought it would be easier to use everything that came with the engine (trans, driveshaft, and rear-end) as opposed to trying to mate it with the v6 tranny (t5 manual) with the v6 shaft and lower gear ratio in the rear.

I bet there are inspections when you sell it. I would find a 4th generation Camaro V8 donor car. 1993 - 1996 OBD1

The rear end on the 94 should have better brakes or has a option upgrade too.
