I have a 01 automatic transmission for a transam

That's kind of a technical question you have to match the transmission mainly to your rear end you know there's different ratio rear ends and if you got the wrong transmission I don't know I'm not sure about that I've never done this type of thing but I would say talk to a GM dealer and get the numbers off the transmission that you're interested in swapping and your vehicle VIN # and see if it's comparable to your vehicle that would be the way to do it I would say good luck.
