i have a 96 t bird 4.6 liter it runs about 30miles the check engine light comes on then at 100 or 150 miles the control module burns up . no fuel pump sound it dont start. theres been 3 installed and repeats itself i had a engine code reader put on it it gives code p1443 can you tell me what i need to get this fixed thanks terry

Hi SHM ... The engine code of p1443 on a ford indicates "Small Or No Purge Flow Condition" ... Believe it or not that's problem that could be related to a loose gas cap, but here's a discussion in detail on your error code and what it means ... http://autorepair.about.com/library/a/1c/bl646c.htm ... They have replaced the battery, changed some sort of sensor, the gas cap is tight and I filled the tank completely and also had the oil changed.
