cooling fans not running on a 2001 pontiac montana

The car was giving a 0128 code. Replaced the thermostat because it was stuck open. Also replaced the temperature sending unit in the thermostat housing. The gauge reads the temperature but when it goes over 220 the fans will not come and run. If I disconnect the sensor wire the fans will run but the gauge does not show temperature. Replaced the fan relay. When I turn the A/C on high the fans do not run either they used to. Is the coolant level sensor causing the problem. Need help

Hi did you ever figure out what the problem was on your van I'm experiencing the same problem with my van I have a 2005 Pontiac Montana sv6 that is having the same problem I changed the coolant temperature sensor that wasn't it but the fans come on when you unplug the temperature sensor and the fans don't come on when you turn on the ac either I checked all the relays and fuses everything is good I checked the wire harness going to the fans everything is good but the weird thing is the fans turn on when you unplug the coolant temperature sensor I just don't know what the problem could be

My 2001 Pontiac Montana van is overheating... The fans run when I keep the AC on. Any idea what's wrong with it.
