Could be anything from a throttle position sensor to bad spark plugs but I would definitely check with a scan tool to see what codes it has.

I have the same issue for over a year now. I've changed the throttle body, spark plugs, fuel pump, and fuel filter. the first code it threw was throttle body, changed it along with spark plugs. When it happened again code threw secondary fuel pump, changed it. then it happened again and still threw secondary fuel pump so I had it changed out thinking it was defective and still happening. Shop is saying it could be the brain. What could it be?

I've put catalytic system cleaner in as well... Will try engine rev for sure... It happens very random, so I don't drive the car far, but would like to be able to trust it.
