can you put a replace a 2003 pontiac vibe 5 speed manual transmission with a 6 speed transmission?

You may be able to put the 6 speed in the car but other things may have to be replaced as well like ecu. Also the powerband will be a lot different. Im asuming you have a base vibe and you want the gt 6 speed? If so, the base Vube does not have enough power for 6 speed tranny. It will make thecar much slower feeling. If you have a GT then might work but I would stick with the 5. As the model years progressed, the Vibe had slightely less power each year.2003 base had 130 and GT 180, 2004 Vibe had 127 or something like that and GT had 178 and so on.
