You must remove the trunk liner to diconnect some of the lines. Then drop the gas tank because it sits on top of the tank. I'm having this issue myself. Trying to figure it out.

carbon canister has come apart and charcoal has filled the vent lines stopping air flow blow lines out replace canister and vent valve requires fuel tank to come down which means removing the differential

Had same issue. Had to pump gas EXTREMEMLY slow. Ended up getting it replaced. GM estimated $1600 due to haveing to drop the back end out of the car to drop the fuel tank. Some have put an access panel in the trunk of the car to avoid having to drop the tank...which is a cheaper fix but varying reviews whether you can get the canister out. Ended up paying $1100 at Midas to do it.

Just started on mine. Irony is the whole rear end was down and replaced about a year ago after the dealer screwed up my rear diff during a routine maintenance. I really don’t want to have the rear end taken apart. Again.

I’m completely clueless on cars, but I’ve had my solstice since I was 18 (2007)... so I get it, it’s old. But this car is like my best friend... The whole gas clicking every two seconds has been happening for a few months now. —- Sidenote: not sure if it’s linked but the a/c heater won’t work - it only lets out very cold air. (This isn’t the worst thing in miami where I only need the heater 2 days a year, but still.) Is my only option going to GM?
