What years can I interchange my tranny with

I need to know what years are
interchangeable with a 2008 3500
dodge transmission. Also can I use a 4
wheel drive tranny on a 2 wheel drive
by changing out the tail piece or is the
a difference on the inner core.

I don't know how to edit my question but it is a 5.7 and I know it's a 545RFE transmission but thats all I know about it.
