Mustang Electrics Issue

I have a 96 mustang and it’s been having issues
with battery voltage. whenever i use the electrics
the battery gauge likes to jump around. is this
normal? could it be a bad battery or alternator?

Get a multimeter and see what it's charging at. Battery Voltage should be at least 12.4 with engine off. With Running minimum 13.5 volts.
