I have a 240sx...once i bought the car i ran into a problem... a big problem... couldnt go past 180km...and rev limter at 5000...im assuming your car is standard...what i did, is i went to a junk yard and pulled the ecu out of a 240 that was automatic. i installed it into the car.. rev limiter was gone and so was the speed limiter. my ecu was located on the passenger side directly to the right of where your feet would be.

This is a common problem people run into, however there is a work around for it. There is also a way to get around the top speed limiter as well. The sad part is you have to get a different ECU to remove the rev limiter. If you want to remove the top speed limiter you can follow these directions. http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/spdgov.htm
