ionic hybrid steep mountain climb

Asked by StephenERock Dec 04, 2019 at 04:55 PM about the 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Preferred FWD

Question type: General

Does the Ioniq have enough power and energy to climb over a long high
mountain pass fully loaded?  e.g. Sonora pass (highway 120) in California with
a max altitude of 9600 ft climbing steadily from a few thousand.

1 Answer

I would think so. I have driven the Sonora pass in a Subaru and it was no big deal. Pretty sure the pass is closed for the winter! If by fully loaded you mean 4 people and luggage be prepared for a slow climb.

Your Answer:
