Ioniq road noise

Asked by TominPort Jul 03, 2019 at 11:22 PM about the 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid SEL FWD

Question type: General

How is the road noise in the Ioniq?  How would you compare it to the Prius and the Insight in terms of tire or road noise?  I am not too concerned with wind or engine noise in this car but I am concerned about the noise over rutted roads.

Road noise is mostly (but not entirely) dependent on the tires. You can't really compare cars with different tires. The best you can do is read test reports where they measure interior noise.

or take it for a test drive and compare it to other vehicles. Download a decibel meter app on your phone, they have free ones.
