Engine won’t start

Asked by Alex May 02, 2018 at 03:52 PM about the 1991 Nissan 300ZX 2 Dr Turbo Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’m working on getting a 1991 300ZX running again,
and it hasn’t been driven in 5 years. Off the bat I
siphoned the fuel tank and put a couple gallons of
new gas in, and tried to jump start it because there
was no other obvious damage to the engine. When I
turned the key, the first time there was a loud
continuous clicking noise. The second time, the
engine started to turn but it stopped. Any
suggestions on how to get the engine running, or
other repairs I should do on a car that hasn’t moved
for this long? Thanks!
