I have a 1992 nissan maxima gxe when i got the car from a friend they had lost the key and was having to crank it with a pocket knife well now the alarm started going off for some reason
And now it wont crank either any

I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima. I think I'm having a problem with the power steering. A few days ago it started making a grinding noise when i turned right, the PS fluid is low, but how do i know if that is the problem or if it's something more serious? The problem is, I am ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS when it comes to cars, car problems, repairs, labor, & fair prices. The other problem is that I'm a young, single mother on a VERY tight budget. I recently purchased a 2001 maxima. It's already broken down twice and the dealer told me that it was a corroded wire leading to the alternator that was causing all the trouble.
