2020 rav xle battery issues?

Asked by Guru9WJYTK Mar 11, 2021 at 05:57 PM about the 2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

one month after buying a new 2020 rav 4 xle i had
to have it towed to the dealer. they told me it was a
bad battery. so it was replaced. then four months
later it died again. i called for a jump start. then two
weeks later yet again the car died. i called roadside
assistance and they jumped it again. i drove to the
dealer and they said this time it was a bad software
problem and they were going to use firmware to
correct that. anyone else have this issue?

1 Answer

Lots of people have problems with newer cars and parasitic battery drains compounded by cheap OEM batteries. The problem may be partially or completely alleviated by a new, high capacity battery.
