This has been quite a problem for Nissan owners. Try changing your fuel filter and cleaning your MAF with a can of CRC Mass Air Flow cleaner. Was reading a Nissan forum and one poster said he did this and the vehicle was fine once again. Wasn't the transmission after all. Between a bad fuel filter and bad air, it made it seem as if the transmission was at fault................................................................. http://forums.nicoclub.com/transmission-flare-update-anyone-with- tranny-issues-similar-please-read-t311262.html

buy the bypass kit..... easy to do....its inevitable that your radiator will begin to leak coolant into your transmission lines...a 25 buck kit and a hour of time will save you a new transmission and radiator...
