Car won't start
I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE for some reason
when I turn the key all I hear is the clicking sound
but the car won't start that just started happening
what can be the problem
If it is a rapid series of clicks it is a voltage problem, possible bad battery or dirty cables, if it is just one loud click then the starter has failed or your engine has seized.
Check the battery 60 months old time to replace it. Have it checked for 12.6 volts and a load test preformed on it. Terminals need to be clean and tight not corroded, grounds are a common issue, Cables / wires get oxidized after 16yrs IF everything appears OK Have a voltage drop test done on the starter circuit. Very BASIC
I brought a new battery for my 2000 Nissan Maxima and it still won't crank
