Auto or manual? Stock or tuned? And define chugging. It could be many things really though it sounds mostly like a transmission problem. If its a manual perhaps the clutch disc has been glazed, on an auto well..time to check the torque convertor. Or maybe you have worn out teeth on your gears. Since its something that happened spontaneously and not after tuning ( I'm assuming that's what happened ) its probably something wearing out. Like a fuel system that isn't flowing well under low pressure when at low RPM ( checked your filters lately? ), or it could be an electric problem which would affect both your fuel pump and spark plugs, or you have worn out spark plug tips and your engine is misfiring and you're gonna blow it soon lolol. Or maybe something's wrong with your throttle plate or one of the many sensors that govern your air/fuel maps and that's gonna be a b**** figuring out which one is going wonky. Hahahaha. That's why you don't ask such a broad question on a random forum. Go see a mechanic seriously :D

Thank you, my mechanic is coming by tonight...He's thinking it's probably a clogged fuel filter and hopefully that will to the trick...if not you're right, it'll be very hard to figure out....
