the display on my stereo doesn't work but audio is still coming through. When I touch any of the buttons on the stereo, however, it turns off! Please help

possibly a short in the system? is this the stock maxima radio with nav?

What could be causing the short? It is the stock radio but no nav. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

could be wire breakage but if the face plate comes off could be the connector there behind it
