2003 Altima not coming out of park. No turn signals. Service engine light, reader not connecting

Asked by Guru57NPW Feb 10, 2018 at 11:01 AM about the 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This began yesterday.  Wouldn't start. Some here
suggested retighting battery cables.  That got it
started.

Would then not come out park.  Had to use a
screwdriver to get into gear. Now it has a service
light, a trunk ajar light and nothing when the turn
signals are attempted to be used. I have slammed
the trunk and the light still come on.

I used my code reader to see what the service light
was and the car would not connect to the reader.
Thinking it might be the reader. I took it to
Autozone and that one would not connect either.

1. Won't come out of park
2. Nothing when turn signals used
3. Service light
4. Car not connectiong to 2 code readers
5. Trunk light stays on
