Dodge Ram 2006 Srt 10 crew cab

Asked by Srt10wanted2 Nov 04, 2017 at 10:44 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 SRT-10 Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am in the process of buying and looking for a fast
upgraded Srt-10 .
My question is should I pay 3000,00 dollars over
book value just because a Paxton NOVI 2000
Supercharger is the up grade ?! Should the dealer
retune and add any missing  or bad parts/or parts
needed for installation that is required to putout the
horse power that it should be at?!?!
Or at least close to what it should make on hp /
torque!!

Normally added performance parts do NOT increase the value of a vehicle unless they are installed during a special model edition or upgrade by the manufacturer or some company specifically designated by them. I wouldn't touch a modded SRT-10 with a 10 foot pole cause you can be sure it has had the crap ran out of it. The truck you are talking about is 11 years old and the dealer has no requirement to do anything special to it.

This was covered in another thread. You bought it and all the problems with it. The dealer owes you nothing unless he gave you promises in writing. I think this is going to cost you a bundle to get sorted out properly.

Like Bob says I would not pay a premium for a modded truck. In fact it is worth a LOT less than a stock truck but good luck anyway!

I have yet to figure out who would want a truck that gets 10 mpg. Best of luck with it and try not to wrap it around a tree or utility pole.

What the hell you only live once! At least that I can’t remember another life before this one ! And if you have the money why get what you want just to do so!

I have a 2005 srt10 quadcab yellow fever edition i ordered and waited almost a year for it and still love it today after 95,000 miles. I just got it back from having the engine rebuilt by Prefix engineering in MI. It took 3 months and cost over $15,000.00 and I also added long drop stainless headers and cats 3" exhaust sytem ($4000). I had all this done by Tom Sessions motors out of North Carolina and he is just the best. They did put a mild cam in it and increased injector size and it is just a Brut. If you buy one remember all the parts are high since they are special and I have spent all total another $7,000 on other items needed to have a new like vehicle. The joy of speed is something it is great at giving. When you push down own the gas and rear wheels break lose and the next thing you know you are going 130mph. All my buddies would like one but they do not have one so if you buy one it has been raced many times and it may be tired so get ready to spend, spend, spend but the JOY is worth it all for a pickup.
