97 ranger wont stay running

my 97 ranger starts goes about 1/2 mile and quitts let sit ten minuetes and
starts and goes again i replaced the fuel pump fuel filter fuel regulater air filter
coil pack spark plugs wires crank trigger still same thing what am i missing

Things should be tested before you buy parts you don't need . Did someone put an egg in your gas tank ? The problem has to be diagnosed when it occurs .

Check the inertia switch, some of these were bad and burn the contacts so when they heat up they go open circuit. If it checks good then find an independent shop that can do live data testing, tell them how far it will run so they know what will happen and when while the scanner is in data mode. Then they will tell you what is happening and what it will take to fix it.
