starts but wont stay running without gar flow

Asked by ilovetruck99 Nov 11, 2018 at 11:43 AM about the 1999 Ford Ranger XLT Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i went out to start my 99 ford ranger one day it wouldn't start it would crank
but not turn over but without thinking about it cranking but not starting (99%
fuel injection) i changed the tps cam and crank sensors still nothing and its
got a new maf sensor so then i went to spark plugs and ignition coil nothing
so then i tested fuel pressure like a smart person tested the fuel pressure it
was 20 psi so i went to the fuel tank yes the fuel pump was priming but what
i didnt notice was my MAP senor or fuel pressure sensor was broken off so i
tried to take it out but the plastic crumbled and i didnt want that in my fuel
tank so i changed the whole pump and assembly along with sensor and fuel
filter and now it starts first try no problem for about 6 seconds but then wont
stay running unless i give it gas. no its not the iac its a newer battery im
getting 11v to my NEW fuel injectors i cant find a vacuum leak if there is one
im also not getting any rpm (faulty crank sensor maybe) but its gets up to 50
psi for fuel pressure and holds from what i can tell. im not getting any power
to my power distribution box when i have the key in and on IM SO LOST is it
my ignition timing the engine turns over nice so i dont think its piston or o
ring failure im stuck on electrical pls help im in to deep to quit
