Drill bigger ones? which holes are you talking about?

They're notoriously difficult to replace. I believe most found it easiest to completely remove the lamp housing and change the bulb that way. I too have some LED bulbs I want to swap out, and haven't gotten around to it :D Sorry there isn't better news. Sometimes the solution that looks the most work, is the easiest and least work.. It's a strange car with a lot of poorly engineered mechanical vantage points, but it still has a lot going for it, and you still see a lot around today, which is always a good sign :)
