Replace Rear Differential Fluid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Per the Maintenance Schedule I have it says to replace the Replace Rear
Differential Fluid at 12,500, 62,500, and 112,500.

A bit odd as the 1st is after only 12,500; the 2nd after an additional 50,000,
and the 3rd after yet another additional  50,000. I hope they don't need to
change it at 12,500 due to doubts about it being new. What would get in it or
wear out after 12,500; and then not get in or wear out for another 50,000?

12,500 is after break-in, you absolutely should change it then, to get rid of any metal bits after breaking in, that first oil change after the break-in period if crucial.

I found this out... At least for a 2019 - FWD there is no differential fluid to deal with; as there is only a differential on the AWD CRVs.
