Differential Fluid Change.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does the 2008 Honda CVR EX 4x4 have a front differential that needs a fluid changed or is it part of the auto transmission change? I hear lots about the rear differential but never the front. Is 30,000 miles for a transmission fluid change and 15,000 miles for the rear differential fluid change about right? Or since I only drive 3000 miles a year should I go by the 24 month rule?

Go on the 24 Month scale Front Differential is lubricated through the transmission pump - Trans Fluid Honda ATF-Z1 Rear Differential uses Honda Dual Pump Fluid.

front diff is part of trans and you do a drain and fill every 30k. rear diff. uses dual pump and should be changed at 15k and then 45k, cant remember after that.
