Can I change out my 300e auxiliary battery myself

You should be able to change the auxiliary battery yourself. You need the right battery and it doesn't need to be coded to the car; sort of plug-n-play..... The battery has a part number at the top of the label or use the UPC.

Use a memory saver , don't get a cheap P.O.S. one either .
