Not sure what year your E-class is. The central system is called the COMAND system for all infotainment functions, like stereo and navigation. The E350 was introduced in 2006, so I have attached the COMAND manual for that year. Any recent water damage? Is the battery relatively new? Best to take it to a M-B dealer for diagnosis to be sure.

Your answer is helpful. I have similar problems with my E-320, 2005. The battery warning sign comes on telling me that I have to go to a workshop asap but then after a few hours or start-ups disappears. The V-Belt is perfectly ok and my brakes work fine. And yes, we had some heavy rain showers recently. I tried your link but it is momentarily not working! Any other link I could try? Or what else could I do other than going to Mercedes? Thanks, Ursula
